Virginia Dojo Privacy Policy

Introduction

This Privacy Policy outlines Virginia Dojo (" we ", " our " or " the Company ") practices with respect to information collected from users who access our website at https://www.robertoshidokan.com (" Site "), or otherwise share personal information with us (collectively: " Users "). Google asks we post this information on our website. It is a form where we fill in the blanks. I don't know about any of this technical stuff. We don't collect and compile information. We write your information down on a scrap of paper after initially contacting you. On good months we remember where that scrap of paper is located so we can follow up with a second text or email.

We have yet to locate a marketing company willing to pay us lots of money, or even any money, for our 12/15, ok, maybe 20 leads because they won't accept just scraps of paper! Imagine, they want us to write all this stuff down and put it in a spread sheet with thousands of contacts. Who's got time for that?

We train in Adult Self Defense Martial Art Karate. Whether a man or woman, if you are interested in the Art of Self Defense Karate, Women's Self Defense or Jiu Jitsu we have classes for you. The rest of this document contains legaleeze that your lawyer will appreciate, yet I have no clue what it all means.

What information we collect?

We collect the information you give us, like name, phone number and email address.

How do we receive information about you?

When you voluntarily provide us your personal details in order to register on our Site;

We do not rent, sell, or share Users’ information with third parties.

We may use the information for the following:

  • We collect you name, email and phone so we can communicate with you once or twice to remind you to come to class. Industry experts say we shold communicate with you 4 or 5 times. We agree! Yet we usually forget to do it.
  • We have a trusty, highly technical system where we write your information down on a scrap piece of paper after initially contacting you. After the initial contact you may never hear from us again, not because we don't like you, but because we misplace the scrap of paper with your information on it., or we can't read the damn chicken scratches! Sometimes, about once a year, we even clean the office and in a flurry of activity throw out all the scraps of paper only to realize all the information about potential leads has suddenly disappeared. Kinda like when your spouse cleans up your home office. "Where's my favorite pencil I chewed on with the nearly completely used eraser?" "What do you mean you threw it out!"
  • Sometimes we remember where we put the scrap of paper with your information on it and may send you a follow up text or email to come visit months after you intially contacted us.
  • Sometimes we misplace the scrap of paper! Other times, we just forget to follow up.
  • Hey! We aren't a modern marketing $-making enterprise!
  • We just teach Self Defense Martial Art Karate to people who want to learn. If you want to learn: Great! If not, well, ok.
  • We'd love to sell your information to marketng companies for a lot of money! Yet we'd have to gather all those scraps of paper with your information on it and then enter the info in a data base of some sort to entice some $multi-million marketing company to pay us big money for the 12-15, maybe 20, leads we have! If you think this will result in tremendous monetary rewards we need to discuss your need for purchasing the Wilson Bridge crossing the Potomac between Virginia and Maryland! It is on sale, CHEAP!
  • So if you are worried we are gonna do something nefarious with your information, "Fagettaboudit!"
